Electric vehicles:
Pros: Produce no direct emissions, creating a better environment, home charging system is convenient, smoother, quicker acceleration, easy driving experience, doesn’t require oil changes, and is quiet when in motion.
Cons: Require charging non-stop, can be more expensive to buy, limited range, charging takes longer than filling up with gas, batteries can tend to be very expensive if failing, repairs take longer as electric cars are newer, and a lack of familiarity.
Who I believe electric cars are meant for:
Individuals who are concerned about the environment and want to go the extra mile (no pun intended), short-distance travelers, and those who have a garage for a charging port.
Gas-powered vehicles:
Pros: Re-fueling is easier, affordable, offers a good balance between speed and acceleration, simple to fix or have maintenance on, cheaper to insure, can last during longer distances, vaster options to choose from, and possibly understood by many.
Cons: Emit harmful gases into the air creating a more polluted environment, requires consistent maintenance, doesn’t re-sale for much, wastes more energy than electric cars, not very efficient on day to day roads, older technology, and is slowly fading out of our lives due to the latest innovations.
Who I believe gas-powered cars are meant for:
People who are looking for a car meant for long-distance trips, convenient enough for re-filling, and drivers who don’t want to drop a huge amount of cash on a car.
