Any student who has a motivation to learn and study is able to join Spell Bowl, a state recognized club focused on English and language arts. Sponsored by Katie Finney, the group of 13 meet virtually through Google Meet, every Thursday at 7 p.m. 

Meetings usually include taking a short spelling quiz, checking in with and getting information from captains and coaches.

The group has two events, the area and state competitions, with dates yet to be announced.

Finney said the only requirements for joining the group are weekly participation in spelling quizzes, and participation in area competitions.
