How to pass the project with flying colors

Senior year is approaching faster than people might think for juniors, we wanted to ask a senior who has finished their project some ways juniors can prepare. Senior Jaala Fischer told us about her project and advice she has for students.

“My project was a walk across America, I organized a walk to raise money toward caring research,” Fischer said.

Fischer put together a walk to raise money for research to help those affected by chronic illnesses. She also had raffles and auctions to raise money, involving the community. Jaala also gave some insight into her tips on having a successful, passing senior project.

“Have all of your job shadowing done, and get it in first semester,” Fischer said.

Jaala also talked about choosing your mentor. She mentioned the importance of choosing a mentor that is easy to work with, and can offer support.

“Don’t just choose a mentor because they’re easy to choose,” Fischer said.

Jaala highlighted the importance of choosing a project you are passionate about, and avoiding choosing an organization because they are easy.
