The National Honors Society is now inducting students to become members of the organization. NHS a national orgination made to recognize outstanding high school students, however, it’s different from honor roll because not only does it recognize a student’s intelligence but it also recognizes other areas of student’s lives and personalities like leadership and character.
To become a member a student must be in grades 10-12 and have a minnimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale. The student must also have done some service for their community or school without compensation.
“I think NHS is a great oppotunity for students to be recognized more,” said NHS member, junior Sam Russell.
