Why did you move to China?

My dad was offered a job in Chongqing at Cummins joint venture, CCEC.

How long were you there?

I lived there for my freshman and sophomore years.

Where did you go to school?

I went to a British-based international school, YCIS.

Describe one of your best/worse experiences?

My worst experience was initially moving there. It was incredibly humid and the depressing reality of not being able to see my friends was just starting to kick in.

Can you compare the culture there to the culture here?

China’s culture is less individualistic and more modest. The people are very friendly overall.

Was it difficult adjusting to China?

Yes, it was difficult adjusting to a new culture, climate, and community.

Was it difficult adjusting back?

Yes, starting high school as a junior has had its complications.

Do you miss it there?

I miss the big city and food.

What is your most memorable day?

My most unforgettable day was hanging out with my two best friends Tommy and Jerry for one of the last times before I moved back.
