People are dressed in funky colors running around classrooms. At first glance, it seems out of place, but at the end of the quarter, Quarter Raiders, led by the student assembly, will be going around the school. Student assembly members senior Clemence Delfosse and sophomore Masha Privonova talk about what the Quaterraiders are including where that money goes and their experience overall with student assembly.
Quarter Raiders is an event where upperclassmen dress up and run around the school to collect money. Delfosse is participating this year.
“I will be participating in running around the school,” Delfosse said. “The upperclassmen get to run around in fun outfits, bring in scooters and bikes, andraid each classroom.”

Underclassmen, despite not being able to actually do the raiding, are still able to help out.
“Since I’m a sophomore I’m not going to participate in running around the school and collecting coins,” Privonova said. “Only juniors and seniors do that while underclassmen sort the coins in the cafeteria.” While underclassmen don’t have to do much preparation, the upperclassmen do.
“I do really enjoy prepping for Quarter Raiders,” Delfosse said. “Putting on all the silly costumes before running out in the school is so fun.”
Privonova describes the purpose of Quarter Raiders
“The purpose of Quarter Raiders is to collect the money for future assembly events like Can Drive,” Privonova said.
Their goals for how much they want to gather change every year.
“The goal is usually one thousand dollars,” Privonova said.
However, this year they are hoping for more.
“We definitely want to raise over 2,000 dollars this year,” Delfosse said.
Quarter Raiders is only one of the many events that the student assembly hosts and participates in. Both Privonova and Delfosse agree on their favorite activities.
“I love everything about student assembly,” Privonova said. “I really enjoy Can Drive and High School Heroes. I also love hosting eighth grade nights and freshman orientations because you get to interact with future high school students and help them out.”
