FOOTBALL: North record 2-1 after Southport game

VARSITY

On Sept. 4, the varsity football team traveled to Southport to face off against the Cardinals. 

Junior Dawson Adams said they “played a good second half,” coming out with a win, and a score of 35-28.

“Our team wants to get better,” Adams said.

The team continues to work at practice and hopes to continue their winning streak Sept. 11, playing Roncalli at North.

JUNIOR VARSITY

On Sept. 5, the junior varsity football team took on Southport, winning with a score of 35-0. 

Junior Dyllan Redmon was excited about the win.

“[The team] felt good about the win, and that we bounced back after the [North vs. East] game.” Redmon said.

Redmon says that the team has played well and that they hope to continue their improvements.

“We make mistakes just like any team does,” Redmon says. “We just need to work harder and not overlook anything.” 

The junior varsity team will play at Roncalli Sept. 12.
