After a rained out game on Friday Aug. 27, the Bull Dogs came back on Saturday morning Aug. 28 and proved themselves against East, winning with a score of 28-0.
Junior Savion Miles explained that the team ‘came out prepared, watched film and [was] being responsible.’
Miles said the landslide victory was unexpected.
“I expected a little more fight from East.” Miles said.
But, Miles said he would’ve rather played on Friday Aug. 27.
“I feel bad for some of the seniors,” Miles said. “They didn’t get their Friday night experience for North vs. East.”
Nevertheless, the team as well as the coaches were happy with the result of the game.
“Football is never easy, but it was a fun game. The coaches were excited about the win.” Miles said.
Although the Bull Dogs won, improvement is always possible.
“We just need to lift each other up, good or bad,” Miles said. “We just need to stay on task.”
The Bull Dogs will be back in action this Friday Sept.3 at home. They will face off against the Southport Cardinals at 7 p.m. and hopefully take another win.
