Threat at BCSC high school isolated
February 20, 2018
Students were notified of a gun threat against Columbus East High School via a text message alert from the Columbus Police Department today at 2:00 p.m. The threat was made in a group chat on Snapchat.
“I don’t think a lot of students would take a threat seriously because they don’t expect it to happen,” senior Nick Miller said.
According to the text, “The student responsible for making the threat has been identified and isolated. Law Enforcement is involved. Threats or any intimidation will not be tolerated by BCSC.”
“I’m going, to be honest about it, it’s scary thinking about something like that happening here,” sophomore Jae’ Ron said. “I would be scared and not know what to do.”
