Nexus Park is a newer installation to the Columbus area, offering a wide variety of services, from sports to recreation- and overall wellness. Even with the NexusPark website, it can be hard to find exactly what you’re looking for as a student. Hopefully this serves as a one stop shop for all information about NexusPark.
To start, NexusPark is located in the former Fair Oaks Mall, across from Columbus Signature Academy right on 25th Street.
NexusPark’s operating hours are split into two categories: Walking Hours and Retail Hours. Walking Hours are from 7a.m to 7p.m Monday through Saturday, with Sundays being closed. Retail hours are from 11a.m to 7p.m Monday through Saturday as well.
Now that one knows when NexusPark is open, what does one do? Many people know about NexusPark, but what do they offer- specifically what for students? Of course, Nexus park offers a multitude of health professionals, but they also have many opportunities for exercise and recreation, especially for students. As NexusPark’s vision statement says, they strive to “Provide sustainable and high-quality experiences for all community members and guests who visit the NexusPark campus.” It’s rather important for students to find safe places to spend time with friends, get moving, and exercise. NexusPark strives to provide this experience, for both students and nonstudents.
NexusPark has a variety of activities, as it has partnered with the Department of Parks and Rec, Circle K Fieldhouse, and Columbus Regional Health. Because of these partnerships, most of the area is maintained and able to be accessed by the general public, that is, without a membership.
NexusPark also has a rather widespread sports complex, as most people know. They have space for seemingly every sport, as well as offering space for tournaments and games in a convenient and easy to find location.
Apart from just sports, NexusParks offers a space for both adults and youth programming areas that can be used for a multitude of things, including:
- Art Classes
- Table Tennis
- E-Sports
But what if sports just aren’t your thing? No worries, as NexusPark offers a multitude of restaurants and other retail.
Restaurants include:
- Carlos Pizza
- Lucas Brothers
- Mother Bear’s Pizza
- Riviera Maya
- Sojourn Coffee
- Winnie Tea Bar
All in all, NexusPark offers something for almost everyone, whether you’re in the mood to work out, eat out, or both. NexusPark will most likely only continue to grow, offering more and more opportunities to the community to get their health in focus, and become a safe space for everyone.
