Lookie lookie lookie…
I don’t know about you, but I have heard a lot about Crumbl Cookie lately.
The swarming popularity of this dessert chain has been baffling, they can’t be all that good, can they?
Well I decided to put it to the test. During the week of December 2nd, my friend and I went to the Greenwood, Indiana Crumbl location. The lineup that week was; Jimmy Fallon’s “Holiday Seasoning” Candy Cane Brownie, Caramel Toffee Butter Cake, Holiday Birthday Cake, Cookies and Cream Milkshake Ft. Mini Oreo, Lemon Bar, Strawberry Crinkle, Honey Bun, and Milk Chocolate Chip.
We decided to order the Candy Cane Brownie, Holiday Birthday Cake, Cookies and Cream Milkshake, Lemon Bar, and Strawberry Crinkle. However, when we arrived, they told us they were out of the Candy Cane Brownie, so we had to replace it with a second Holiday Birthday Cake. Not the end of the world, but we were really excited to try out that one in particular.
They also didn’t get my friend’s order we were picking up for. She had to send us screenshots that she had ordered for the right place and the right time, but they were kind enough to make it even though the order wasn’t showing up on their end.
The Holiday Birthday cake was good, it was a simple sugar cookie with frosting and sprinkles. It was better than what you could get at the grocery store, but didn’t change my life.
The Cookies and Cream Milkshake was by far the best, it was absolutely delicious. Sadly, I only got two bites of it because when I woke up the next morning, my brother had already devoured the rest.
The Lemon Bar cookie was fine. I usually really like lemon flavored things, and the cookie was good, but lemon is just not at all a winter or Christmas flavor. I didn’t really enjoy it just because it isn’t the right season for it.
The Strawberry Crinkle cookie was my least favorite, and not by a close margin. I have a deep hatred for aggressively artificial strawberry flavor. To me, it just tasted like chemicals, but my friend really enjoyed it.
We didn’t get the chocolate chip cookie this time but I have tried it before. It’s good, but not so good for me to want to get it every time I get to go.
Overall, I enjoy Crumbl as a sweet treat now and then, but I simply can’t justify driving 45 minutes to the nearest Crumbl for these cookies-with upwards of 700 calories each-very often.
Although, next week’s lineup looks pretty promising…
