Hundreds of people line the street waiting to get into the Taulman Farms Columbus Country Christmas. A Christmas light show and North Pole experience with 4.7 stars on google reviews.
The farm offers two different Christmas experiences. Friday,Saturday, or Sunday from 6-9 pm is when you can go on the two mile long drive of lights as well as have the North Pole experience for 45$. The whole experience features Santa, his reindeer Comet and Prancer, The Grinch, horse drawn buggies, a toy store, craft and food vendors, cookie shack, live music, and of course the 2 mile long drive of beautiful Christmas lights featuring blow up Santa, snowmen, and other beloved holiday characters.
There’s so many things to do in the North Pole experience. My personal favorite is visiting the reindeer. Comet and Prancer are very friendly, and love to be pet. I also love their cookie shack that serves warm, fresh baked cookies and milk, hot chocolate, and even coffee.
Even if you just do the light show experience any day of the week Monday-Sunday from 6-9 pm for 25$ it’s still worth it. The light show experience syncs up to a music station that plays holiday songs, they have balloons of holiday characters all around the trail as well. I think it’s better to go if you’re only going to do the lights towards the beginning of the Christmas season because sometimes towards the end the inflatables will look like they’re on their last leg, but that’s the sacrifice we make for procrastinating and going towards the last minute. Although the beautiful lights are the main event anyways, and make the whole thing worth it. The trail starts off with Christmas light arches that go over the top of your car which children especially love. My favorite part is the beautiful lake right off of their North Pole Village that the trail goes around. It is absolutely stunning especially with the lights reflecting off of it in the background. It’s really a true Christmas scene.
One thing that makes the site so popular is how close it is to the small town of Columbus. The farm is just off state road 58. It’s only a 10-20 minute drive from downtown Columbus. So far it’s the only Christmas light experience near the town. So now people from Columbus or surrounding areas no longer have to drive their kids all the way to Indy while they whine “are we there yet” than continue to whine because they get too tired from the drive by the time they get to their Christmas light show destination. Towards the end of the season you might have that issue with the wait time that can be up to over an hour but at the very beginning of the season the wait time is little to none at all, and I think the Christmas experience is more worth it towards the beginning of the season anyways. The Taulman Farms Columbus Country Christmas is truly the best way to kick off the holidays.
Going to the farm has become a holiday tradition for many locals in and around Columbus. It’s the new hometown destination for holiday memories, and the Christmas spirit. A Lot of people enjoy not only the experience but proximity so much that they go multiple times a year.
The Christmas experience kicks off November 30th and lasts through December 23rd and for just 25$ per car and up to 5$ off if you use cash for the light show experience and 45$ for the light, and North Pole experience you and your family can make magical holiday memories at Taulman Farms Columbus Country Christmas 10335 S 400 W, Columbus, IN 47201 this holiday season.
