Key Club
September 29, 2020
According to their website, Key Club is an ‘international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership.’
Junior Ryleigh Bateman said that for the CNHS chapter of Key Club, members meet once every other week, on Mondays at 8 p.m. over a zoom call and discuss projects that are about ‘bettering the community with service and kindness.’
As a group of about 50 students, anybody can join – as long as they pay their $18 dues – to be officially recognized as members of the Key Club.
Normal meetings consist of a project or activity that members can complete during the meeting or in their own free time.
Bateman says she joined because community service is one of [her] passions in life.
“Key Club is a good way to do community service in an academic setting with my peers,” Bateman said.
