CONFERENCE INDIANA MEET

On Sept. 19, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Conference Indiana Meet.

Coming together for the meet were teams from Southport, Bloomington North, Bloomington South, Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South.

“We were very confident in our abilities and training going into the meet,” Junior Matt Newell said.

Both the boys and girls runners came out with a victory. 

Runners Reese Kilbarger-Stumpff and Mackenzie Barnett ended the race with a first place win. Kilbarger-Stumpff with a time of 15:33.5 and Barnett with a time of 18:10. 

“I think the meet went really well,” sophomore Brianna Newell said. “We took the first mile out easier and everyone seemed to have more energy at the end of the race.”

The next meet is Sept. 26 at New Haven High School.
