On Aug. 21 the Bull Dogs stumbled on their path to victory against East. The final score of the game was 34-31, with East winning in the final seconds of the game.

Senior Isaac Woodruff said the game was “a fight from the start” and the team “stumbled to get [their] footing until the second half.”

The team is choosing to take this loss as a learning experience and opportunity for improvement.

“[We] felt disappointed and we knew we could’ve worked harder,” Woodruff said. “We are driven to work harder every day, to get 1% better every day.”

The team hopes that the next game at Southport on Sept. 4 will show their drive and determination to win.
