Movie Review: Solo: A Star Wars Story
May 29, 2018
The new movie Solo: A Star Wars Story was everything a Star Wars movie should be. It is entertaining, fun, exciting, fast paced and action-packed. It had the perfect combination of humour, suspense, a little bit of romance, and a whole lot of action.
In the movie, a younger Han Solo and Chewbacca join a group of smugglers with a plan to steal some coaxium to get out of debt. In order to carry out their mission, they need the fastest ship they can get: the Millennial Falcon.
I went in wondering how different this movie could be from all the other movies before it. While I had a lot of fun watching it, it is not my favorite Star Wars movie. Many aspects of the movie were very similar to the others, but there were a lot of new and unique scenes as well.
As for the actors, Alden Ehrenreich is the perfect person to play Han Solo. I didn’t think anyone could compare to Harrison Ford, but Ehrenreich captures the character amazingly.
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. It wasn’t exceptional, but it stood out from the other Star Wars movies. You can’t be bored watching Solo: A Star Wars Story, with all the intense fighting scenes, the humour, and the surprising ending.
