Wrestling season started on Oct. 23 and wrestlers are looking forward to the new season.

“Seeing the team grow, seeing the progress we made, and seeing how far we’ll make it. All of our new kids have been working hard so I feel confident that we will perform well if we keep up with the pace that we have been pushing,” junior Morgan Smith said.

Sophomore Vincent Fisher and Freshman Ashton Clark are both new to the sport. “I just really want to get better and want to learn the sport. I’m there just trying my best and giving it my all.” Clark said.

The wrestling team is in their second year with coach Justin Cooper.

“We just need to get better physically mentally and compete harder I think. I’m really looking forward to just improving, having fun, and being better than last year,” Cooper said. There first home match is on Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
