Trump was on trial for charges of asking Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. He was acquitted on February 5th.

The Coronavirus Pandemic caused a global recession as cities went into lockdown. On March 9th the stock market crashed and the Dow Jones industrial average dropped to the lowest it has ever been.

On October 2nd Trump and Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19. They spent three days in the hospital then was discharged to finish recovering at the White House
Joe Biden won the Presidential Election
Joe Biden won the election after numerous votes were found and recounted. Biden also broke the record for the number of presidential votes in history with 81, 284, 000 votes.
COVID-19 VACCINE
A COVID-19 vaccine was announced on November 9th 2020. The vaccine candidate was found to be more than 90% effective in COVID participants without any prior SARS-CoV-2 infection. Early December the FDA issued the first emergency authorization of the vaccine to people 16 and up.
