Due to COVID-19, the CN Band has had their tournament and most of their invitationals canceled.
“[Our events] have been canceled or are being held virtually,” band director Bryan Munoz. “We have also reduced the amount of time we rehearse to avoid breaks that might normally encourage socialization.”
Since COVID-19 has affected the plans that the band had, they have had to do things differently from years past.
“Typically we begin marching band in May and continue through the first week of November,” Munoz said. “This year, we began at the end of July and will end our season at fall break.”
Even though they have lost most of their season, there are still some events band is holding this year.
“The band will perform at the Brownsburg Invitational as well as host a community performance on Oct. 1,” Munoz said. “Finally, we are working on preparing a performance to be recorded to send to ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) to be evaluated.”
