The meaning behind the #’s

Instagram captions are everything. They make the picture work. All the hashtags and quotes used are all well thought out. People usually try to avoid using the same captions as someone else but when it comes to sports it doesn’t matter who said it first because it will be repeated.

“We use them because they’re fun and they make whatever we’re talking about sound cooler,” sophomore Reed Duncan said.

Most of the football players at North use the same hashtags. Some of them are new and some are old. Most of them repeated hundreds of times and even used when talking in school.

“I know Grant Trinkle started S’co Dawgs,” sophomore Blake Huffman said.

It doesn’t matter who starts them but once they are started they can’t be stopped. They spread so fast that by the end of the day everyone knows about them.

These are only a few of a long list of hashtags used at north. There are even some that students don’t use on social medias but are used in daily life.

#S’codawgs

“Let’s go dogs but cooler,” Duncan said.

#Dpka

“Dog pack kicks butt,” junior Daveed Jolley said.

#Bleedblue

“Dogs 4 life,” Huffman said.

#Packthemax

“Fill up the seats at Max Andress,” Huffman said.

#Fnl

“Friday night lights,” Duncan

#6ixcity

“Scoring crew,” Jolley said.

#CNFB

“Columbus North football” Jolley said.

#Dogpack

“Saying Coach Bless has,” Huffman said.

#Let’sgetthisbread

“Let’s get this stuff done,” Duncan said.
