9/11-9/12 Football Brief

VARSITY

The Bull Dogs struggled to find their footing after a loss against Roncalli on Sept. 11, ending with a score of 31-37.

“[Roncalli’s] defense was good and disciplined, they shut us down a few times,” sophomore Kokkao Yee said. “There was always something we could’ve done better that could’ve changed the outcome of the game.”

The team took the loss lightly as they continue to improve with skills and teamwork during daily practices.

“We are going to practice on the little things [this week], to make us better as a team,” Yee said.

The Bull Dogs play Terre Haute North at home on Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m.

JUNIOR VARSITY

The Bull Dogs traveled to Roncalli on Sept. 12, where North lost 14-7.

“We didn’t feel that bad, considering how good the other team [was], and knowing we played a very hard game,” junior Sebastian Ibarra said.

Despite their loss, the Bull Dogs feel good about future games.

“[I am] pretty confident in the rest of the season,” Ibarra said. “I’m just hoping that more schools will be willing to play against us because of COVID.”

The team is hopeful to continue their season at their next game, at Terre Haute North, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m.
