BigStuf Ministry has been offering summer camps for middle school and high school students for over 25 years. The camps create environments that allow kids to grow their relationship with Jesus. Freshman Brooklyn Sutton went to Bigstuf in Panama City last year.
“My favorite part of BigStuf was just being able to be myself and hangout with all my church friends,” Sutton said.
BigStuf summer camp in Panama City Beach, Florida, is an experience in which kids can attend small and large group church sessions. There is also opportunities for worshiping on the beach where students stay in a hotel.
“There are rules you have to follow and certain times you have to be at certain places,” Sutton said. “Overall, this camp is very laid back and the rules are not strict at all.”
Students curfew is 11:30 pm each night.
Every year, the camp has a different theme. This year’s theme is filters, the meaning of the BigStuf theme is that we all have filters for how we view each other.
“I really like the theme this year and I’m excited to see how it’s incorporated into the camp activities,” Sutton said. “I think it is very relevant to mine and the other students life because we use filters all the time.”
Sutton shares her excitement for this year’s summer camp and the Bigstuf camps in the future.
“I plan to go every year until the end of high school and after then if I can I would love to go as a leader.”
