With the semester coming to a close in less than two months, many students are preparing for exams and the upcoming summer vacation. However, some are also focused on what the next school year may bring. This is especially true for seniors, many of whom will begin attending a university in the fall. Senior Lillie Petro is particularly anxious about one aspect of the process of moving onto a college campus.

“I have not found a roommate yet,” Petro said. “My brother had a very bad experience (with a roommate), so I’m afraid the same thing will happen to me.”

Certain schools provide a network through which future students can communicate and attempt to find a classmate with whom to live.

“At (Indiana State), it’s called Indiana State Bubble,” Petro said

Programs like these can be quite useful in connecting with a prospective roommate, but they can come with negative results.

“I’m afraid that my roommate and I won’t be well-matched.”
